Diploma of Software Development graduate, looking to make an entry into the industry. After completing my Certificate IV in Programming, my deep interest in software led me to Petersham College of TAFE NSW, where I completed a Diploma in Software Development. In this course we designed and developed an application utilising ASP.NET MVC and Entity Framework ORM with a MS SQL database to persist data. This was integrated with a React Native mobile application via REST API.I have an excellent understanding of the intricacies of multiple programming and markup languages including C#, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and CSS. I also have experience in working with libraries and frameworks such as React.js , React Native, AJAX, jQuery, Xamarin, Bootstrap and a heavy focus on multiple .NET packages. Throughout all projects, I apply software design patterns and principles including SOLID, GRASP, ACID and DRY to ensure all code is valid, maintainable and efficient. I draw from my previous experience as a hotel manager to bring a collaborative attitude to team-based projects, where both leadership and team member qualities are crucial throughout the development process. I understand that effective communication is essential in any team based role and apply this to all projects I work on.I am an eager and quick learner and am always looking for new technologies to learn. If I do not have the technical skills to complete a project, I take the initiative to educate myself in order to grow my skill set. Now that i have completed my Diploma in Software Development, I plan to make an entry into the industry and continue growing my skills as I establish myself as a software developer.
