This role was a Direct Appointment through my hard work and skill set working within the HR Assist team at La Trobe. I have learned all aspects of the contracts team and even conducting Job Checks to ensure each new role meets LTU policy guidelines. Hired through an internal email to students at La Trobe, this experience has taught how a large scale organisations handle their Human Resources. From taking calls to answering online queries, this role has allowed me to see various aspects of the different departments within Human Resources. Working from home (especially learning a new role) through Melbourne's lockdown has been a different experience to what I was expecting, but I still made the most of the opportunity.

This role mainly consisted of updating job descriptions for the organisation to meet the new structure to reflect COVID demand.
