I completed a 4-year MMath course at Newcastle University from which I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in 2020.The course gave me a solid grounding in many areas of mathematics. In my third year I specialised in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. Statistical topics that I found particularly interesting included Big Data Analysis and Linear Models which involved multiple techniques for data manipulation and evaluation. In my final year I specialised in Applied Mathematics, which incorporated more complex areas such as Geophysical, Astrophysical and Quantum Fluids and General Relativity. I have gained experience of using Fortran, Matlab and R within my degree course, and have taught myself to program in Python and JavaScript. I enjoy problem solving and new challenges and have utilised Python further to develop applications for recreation and to model the dynamics of an ecosystem within my final year dissertation project.I am now working as a data analyicts cosultant for Serios Group.
