Current· Currently manage the chemistry department at large power generation facility, including running all aspects of the department, performing all duties as the chemistry subject matter expert, and having direct supervision over 5 chemical technicians.· Improved engagement of the department from 2.33 (1st percentile) to 4.29 (65th percentile) on the Gallup survey from fall of 2021 to spring of 2023. It’s one the highest Gallup scores of any leader of union employees’ company wide.· Have successfully managed chemical usage, overtime, and other department costs to keep the O&M spend under budget.· Recently led changes to the SNCR water treatment equipment that resulted in over $100K a year in O&M savings and eliminated the need for capital improvements that would have been over $200K in 2024 alone.· Driver of reliability improvements through modernization of lab equipment and instrumentation. New silica and sodium analyzers sitewide plus many more upgrades have been accomplished through capital projects.
