An industrial designers role at Zeon;- Designing and developing a variety of watches, clocks, time based products, packaging and exhibition spaces.- Developing time products for a variety of different well know brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Braun, Hammond and Co, John Rocha and Jasper Conran. - Liaising closely with all brands to ensure each product is appropriate to their image and ethos.Each product designed follows a strict process, which requires a full immersion, from the initial brief to development, through sampling and production. - Working closely with the international office to aid the manufacturing process and understanding of every design.- Conducting thorough market research and evaluation to enable on trend design predictions which are then executed within the design process. This position involved designing new plastic components mostly for the packaging industry; working both from briefs and by adapting designs. Working closely with clients, toolroom and production staff from projects’ start to finish to produce high quality parts suitable for their function. While at Plasmotec a rapid learning period was undertaken, this included gaining knowledge in the injection moulding process, material characteristics and mastering a new cad package.

Step by Step Dance School -Producing graphical content for several local dance competitions in the Midlands region. This included designing logos, posters and website banners.Logo Design - The development of a range of different logos for a handful of clients. This includes the design of a logo for a band, a singer, a photographer and various others.

Whilst at University, I held this full time placement practising industrial design. In spite of being a student, the vast majority of my designs were manufactured and employed at various national exhibitions, such as the World Travel Market at London’s ExCel, as well as galleries and numerous other locations. As well as significant professional fulfillment, the experience also showed me I could move anywhere in the country, enjoy it and meet new people.
