Cardiovascular Technologist
Current- Monitors and interprets patient hemodynamics before, during, and after cardiovascular catheterization and peripheral angiogram procedures using GE Mac Lab.- Assists in preparing room for cardiac catheterization procedures and peripheral angiogram procedures. - Assists in preparing patients for procedures as well as providing patient care pre and post procedures to ensure patient safety. - Demonstrates proper technique for catheters/guidewire exchanges, manifold operation, and power injector function for coronary and peripheral diagnostic procedures.- Assists interventional cardiologists in using coronary interventional equipment which includes FFR/DFR, IVUS, Coronary Diamondback 360 system, Rotablader, Shockwave, Impella, and Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps. - Assists vascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists in using peripheral interventional equipment which includes IVUS, PTA balloons, Drug Coated balloons, Peripheral Diamondback 360 system, Shockwave, and Self-Deployed stent systems. - Assists interventional cardiologists in other procedures such as pulmonary embolism thrombectomy with Inari, Watchman device for LAA, CardioMEMS, and embolization coil insertions.
