Incoming Summer 2025

I lead the Factor Models team at Michigan Investing Group. We use the factorlib package I created last year to run different backtesting experiments on various models with different features, hyper parameters and trading conditions. Our current model has over 150 factors, varying from sentiment analysis to fundamentals to statistical signaling techniques such as PCA and clustering.

I have been researching and experimenting with different systematic trading strategies, mainly focusing on alpha factor models. During the research process, I created Factorlib, a system that easily allows users to create factor models, add factors to a model, and evaluate their model with a Factorlib's statistics module. After applying mean-variance portfolio optimization, with over 150 different factors, and running a grid search for hyper-parameter tuning, my partner and I acheived a spearman correlation coefficient of 0.03, and a CAGR of 13% over the period of 2014-2023.

JAMZ Studios is my app development company. So far we have developed 3 apps. 2 of these are projects within the organization that are currently on the App Store. JAMZ was also hired as a freelance developer to create the beta version of an event planning app called Foodary.

Last summer I was hired by Via Motif, LLC, a hospitality company who specializes in luxury hotel accessories. I developed 3 different programs to streamline the companies purchase order pipeline. The first program simulated the packing process in their warehouse by creating a virtual inventory and packing process in the algorithm, to predict the size and weight of the boxes that would be used and shipped to the customer. This would allow the company to quickly give freight cost estimates in their quotes before actually securing the order. The other two algorithms focused on automating the generation to purchase orders, quotes, and invoices by creating customizable templates that were added to each document.

Continued the work from my summer internship. Focused on drawing regions of interest on images using machine learning.

Created data analysis software to analyze calcium concentrations in dendritic mitochondria. Used Python and ImageJ macro language.
