I am a Project Manager at SigmaPreviously I worked for Polypal, based at the Head Office of B&Q. I worked as part of a team responsible for purchasing and managing equipment, as well as liaising with Third Party Service Contractors for Range Change programmes. Our most exciting work was the 'Paint Project' which was a complete revamp of the entire Paint Area of every B&Q store, and also introduces the 'Valspar' brand to the UK market.Before working as a Project Manager I worked as a Contract Administrator, I was responsible for organising annual H&S repairs for B&Q stores as well as providing support for other clients such as Screwfix, Travis Perkins and Hornbach.I am passionate about my job and I am always eager to connect with other Project Managers to expand my knowledge. I enjoy all aspects of my job but the most interesting aspect is during the implementation of the project on site, providing support for unexpected issues keeps you on your toes and offers an opportunity to learn. It is incredibly satisfying to see the results of a successful implementation. Knowing it was achieved due to the detail and hard work put in during the planning stages and because of the support provided whilst on site.I completed a BSc (Hons) in Sociology from The University of Bath in 2011.I’m always interested in hearing from project managers, former colleagues or just interesting like minded people, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
