In 2010, I made the decision to enlist in the Army National Guard. It was a long time dream of mine to serve in the Army. Unfortunately, I was injured in a training accident and have since been searching for a place I feel like I can make an impact and better myself and the company I work for. After high school I worked at Thomas & Betts as their Lead Program Engineer. My duties included training engineers and new operators on the proper and safe use of CNC machines; I was also tasked with finding ways to make these older machines perform their operations faster. I achieved the goals set before me and trained the engineers in the use of new machines purchased by the company before leaving for college to finish my degree in Precision Machining and Manufacturing. After graduation I went to work at Gipson Well, LLC, a small but well established business in Lake City, Arkansas. I originally worked as a general laborer but as I proved myself and proved that I wanted to help the business grow, I wound up as the operations supervisor. In this role I ordered irrigation parts and made sure the customers received the parts and that workers were there quickly and working efficiently. After several years of work I moved on to the United States Postal Service and then to FedEx. Recently I've moved to McKinney, TX and would like to experience something new and outside of my comfort zone and somewhere I can make an impact.
