Jake Basden is a distinguished 20-year veteran of the entertainment industry, known for his expertise as a music executive, business partner, and marketer. Renowned for his extensive relationships across music, film, television, and live entertainment, Basden serves as President of Sandbox Management, a division of The Sandbox – the multiplatform entertainment, management, and production company. In his role at Sandbox Management, Basden oversees all aspects of the talent division’s representation and business development. Along with founder/CEO Jason Owen, he expertly guides the careers of multi-platinum and multi-award-winning talent such as Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, Dan + Shay, Faith Hill, Kate Hudson, and Little Big Town across various artistic mediums including crafted multimillion-dollar global brand partnerships with Fortune 500 giants such as American Express, CoverGirl, and Procter & Gamble. Recently, Basden propelled seven-time Grammy Award winner Kacey Musgraves to new heights with her album "Deeper Well," which dominated the charts in both the US and UK. He also guided superstar Kelsea Ballerini’s latest album "Rolling Up The Welcome Mat" to earn a Best Country Album nomination at the 2024 Grammys, as well as nominations from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association for Album of the Year. Prior to his role at Sandbox Entertainment, Basden served as Senior Vice President of Communications for Big Machine Label Group. There, he worked with superstars such as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, and Steven Tyler, as well as crafted award-winning music campaigns for Lionsgate’s "Nashville," NBC’s "The Voice," and Fox’s "American Idol." Recognized by PR WEEK Magazine as one of the top Communications Executives in the country under 40 and honored by the Country Music Association with a Publicist of the Year Award, Basden also had a significant tenure at the legendary agency Ogilvy & Mather, as well as at Edelman, the world’s most distinguished PR firm, where he served as a Director in the Sports & Entertainment Division. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Basden currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
