I am Jake Benjamin Dela Cruz. I graduated from Canyon High School in Santa Clarita, California and currently attending The California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I am majoring in Computer Engineering and aspire to change the world with computers and technology.I took my first computer science classes in middle school and worked my way up with the Computer Science career pathway in high school. There, I was able to learn the fundamentals of computer science and dive into the world of programming languages, primarily JavaScript (Block Based), Java, and C#. This allowed me to learn how to use the Unity Game Engine and Git, incorporating them into group projects organized in a SCRUM format; allowing me to become a project manager for a couple of projects, notably for the game "Grapple Steven." While studying computer science, I also became fascinated with the physical realm of computers, prompting me to start building personal computers when I was twelve, test out mini USB Bitcoin miners, and build a tiny arcade cabinet using a purchasable kits.With my goal being to change the world through tech, I aspire to become a leader with it too. I became a Junior Instructor for a year at my local TaeKwonDo Studio where I was able to learn various co-operative and leadership skills. I then founded my high school's first computer club when I was a junior and took on the presidency. During my time in the club, my team captains and I taught our members how to build and manage computers. Currently, after a year of working as a Team Member for a year, I now became a Lead-in-Training at Six Flags: Magic Mountain to further hone my skills in being a leader.
