CurrentThe Parliamentary Budget Office is an independent office of the Parliament of Victoria. The PBO provides ongoing policy costing and advisory services to members of the Parliament and informs policy development by providing independent fiscal, economic and financial advice.As an analyst, my main duties are to:• support Members of the Parliament of Victoria by costing public policy proposals and providingindependent fiscal, economic and financial advice• develop policy costings for Victorian Members of Parliament that provide independent estimates of the budget impact of public policy proposals • develop advice, analysis and briefings for Victorian Members of Parliament in relation to economic, fiscal and financial issues impacting Victoria • contribute to the preparation of pre-election and post-election reports of the impact of politicalparties' policies on the state budget• contribute to the continuous improvement of PBO operations, including management of frameworks, datasets, systems, monitoring of changes in economic and policy conditions.
