After some organizational transitions, I was selected to serve on a 6-member leadership team with other operational leaders. I served as the HR and labor/employee relations expert while leading a team of 150 to execute operations (electrical distribution operations management) that services close to 1M metered customers in Downtown Houston and surrounding areas. ◆ Facilitated several months of intense negotiations between the City and internal representatives to resolve disagreements (budget/project scope) for a federally funded project. Mediated discussions and recently finalized terms between both parties to move the project forward. ◆ Streamlined business operations across all 12 sites after pitching executives to overhaul service delivery functions. SCOPE: As a result of my labor and employee relations expertise and commitment to building cultures of fairness, equality, and equity, I was promoted to lead the labor relations group, helping the company save millions in annual costs through collective bargaining successes. By enhancing our policies, procedures, and processes, we built a stronger safety culture and HR functions built on the employee experience rather than compliance alone. During my leadership, I co-launched the Union Safety Program to better engage union workers, employees, and leaders in shared accountability for elevating the safety culture. ◆ Promoted to Director, served as Chief Spokesperson in collective bargaining and was the subject-matter expert on a wide range of employee, labor, and HR matters. ◆ Created a 1-day union avoidance training for leaders, aiding them in minimizing unionization and tools to deal with grievances and other workplace drama. ◆ Saved the company $6M in expense and successfully negotiated employee contracts across 7 bargaining units. Secured 100+ individual/union settlements and a 100% dismissal rate of all unfair labor practice charges to mitigate costly legal fees. ◆ Maintained a 100%-win rate for union representation campaigns during my time as director. ◆ Served as the Chair of the Edison Electric Institute's Labor & Employee Relations Committee

I’m proud of my contribution to the safety culture and integration of the award-winning DuPont STOP (Safety Training Observation Program) to observe, train, and correct internal safety issues.

With a diploma in hand, I landed my first post-graduate role here to support a newly developed employee and labor relations program. I was responsible for forming several policies, plans, and practices to administer labor contracts, including the administration of 17 collective bargaining agreements across the nation. Levering my expertise, I advised leaders and represented the company in arbitrations, hearings, and audits. ◆ Created the company’s first Affirmative Action plan and prevented all Affirmative Action compliance reviews from escalating beyond the “desk audit” stage. ◆ Acquired dismissal of several charges of unlawful discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and local fair employment agencies. ◆ Integrated a strike contingency plan in response to a prolonged work stoppage by 75 employees. I also secured NLRB action against the Union for picketing reserved gates for ingress/egress.
