Hello! My name is Jake Byrne and I am currently a junior at The Pennsylvania State University. As a Computer Science student, with a minor in Mathematics, I have developed a strong foundation in programming and data structures. I am skilled in Java, C, Python, React, along with other various technologies relevant in my field. I have learned these skills through both in class projects alongside with personal project's that I have taken on in my own time.I am on the executive board of the Penn State Google Student Developer Club. As a technical lead I strive to teach others about powerful technologies through interactive workshops. This has led to increased attendance by over 70% from last year, along with a significant improvement in proficiency with numerous technologies for over 100 students. I also serve on the executive board of the Association of Residence Halls Students(ARHS) as the Director of Programming, serving over 14,000 students living on campus.I am personally very driven, motivated, and disciplined when it comes to my work. I pride myself on bringing new and innovative ideas to the table while also taking into the consideration the ideas and feedback of others. I am motivated to make the most out of every opportunity given to me, and I see every opportunity as a chance to grow both my skillset and as a person. My strong communication skills allow me to effectively collaborate with my coworkers and colleagues.
