CurrentAn innovative program for active duty, returning Veterans & First Responders struggling with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress, Save A Warrior - aka The Project - is now the subject of a CNN Films feature documentary 'The War Comes Home'. Our focus is reducing the epidemic rise of suicide among active duty, returning Veterans and First Responders. A well-grounded and commonsense experience, the Project's unique experiential training curriculum is primarily informed by Karl Marlantes' seminal work, 'What It Is Like To Go To War' as well as the teachings of Bill Wilson and The Miraval Experience in Tucson, AZ - and many, many others. Our primary mission is to provide safe, effective and evidenced-based, short-term, dynamic bio/psycho/social educational training for those struggling with the devastating side effects of Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). Our purpose is to inspire the greatest generation of Servant Leaders in our nation's historyTraining provided via the Project has been shown to provide profound relief for those struggling from Post-Traumatic Stress and related symptoms. We also have the capacity to provide resiliency training and services for returning Warriors who have re-deployed and work in the professional law enforcement community and corporate environments.Partners include: NYSE EURONEXT; USC School of Social Work and Center for Innovative Research for Military Veterans and Families, The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America; Team Rubicon; Camp Hess Kramer; Camp Shalom; The Ahmanson Foundation; The Mark Taper Forum; Pepperdine University; Operation Mend (UCLA); The City of Malibu; The California National Guard; Los Angeles Police Department; Los Angeles Fire Department; New York Police Department et al.
