I am an IT projects and solutions engineer with over a decade of experience working in a mixture of dedicated IT teams and MSP/MSSPs. I have a broad knowledge of the IT landscape, from cloud computing, enterprise networking and team leadership. I strive to bring out the best in my work and aim to bring up those around me by sharing my knowledge and learning from my peers in a collaborative effort to get the best out of any given IT solution. I completed many projects during my time here, I assisted in the roll out of the client-side Office 365 integration by installing software and speaking users through any issues they had with the new systems. I managed hardware rollouts by creating master images to sent off to hardware providers for cloning, I travelled all across Mid and West Wales to assist in the implementation of new communications equipment such as aerials, on-board emergency communication hardware on the fire appliances as well as radios and signalling hardware. Whilst here I also independently overhauled the way new PCs were built, when I started they were utilising Windows 7 disks for every install and having to run hours of updates each time a new PC was required, as Windows 10 was released and compatibility tested with bespoke software I introduced a WinPE platform to capture and push out updated and customised Windows 10 image files which drastically increased the speed that PCs could be built and implemented from a day down to 30-60 minutes. I also had to train and assist the newly hired IT engineers on the job specifics and get them up to speed on all the systems we utilised for support due to a low amount of resources allocated to that area of the organisation.
