The Future Leadership Program with Finland is a 6-week summer exchange program in which 15 high school students from each country participate. I oversee the American student application process, from submission to coordinating the review team, including portfolio review and interviews. When the Finnish students are visiting the D.C. area, I create and run an activity calendar for their time here, which includes visits to think tanks, government offices, community service projects, academic institutions, as well as manage trip outside the D.C. area. Upon program completion, there is an aspect of Monitoring & Evaluation to improve the experience for future participants.

My capstone project for the Masters at American University was working as a consultant team for ISH-DC to create a mechanism to capture the residents' experiences of living at the House. We conducted interviews with various levels of stakeholders (from Board of Directors to current residents). From this, our team designed an exit survey to capture quantitative and qualitative data from departing residents that will allow staff at ISH-DC to better market the House and improve opportunities for future residents.

My primary project is English Education in a professional high school. My secondary projects focus on youth leadership development, civic engagement, and gender equity.

I worked in the Academic Success Center in the Writing Center and Youth Tutoring departments as a tutor and trainer. I also gave specialized lectures on topics relating to English grammar and research. The subjects I regularly gave tutoring sessions for included English (all levels and topics), Statistics, Sociology, Political Science, & History.

I was in charge of daily operations of the retail space, including, but not limited to, staff management, inventory & sales management, budgeting, marketing, and customer relations.
