NBC's The Biggest Loser has been instrumental in efforts to both change lives as well as empower individuals with the skills necessary to live a healthy lifestyle. My role at The Biggest Loser Resort affords me the opportunity to work with regional and national health plans, large employers, and insurance brokerage firms to develop progressive benefit strategies for clinical weight loss. Through those relationships I manage our provider/plan contracting and am responsible for all business development and industry partnerships in the healthcare segment. Moreover, I am responsible for the oversight, compliance, and development of the program as we become a non-surgical treatment alternative in the management of morbid obesity. I also get the amazing opportunity to oversee our Program Review and Advisory Board, comprised of leading physicians and researchers in clinical weight loss, which evaluates the content and clinical efficacy of The Biggest Loser Resort curriculum.

My role is to continuously evaluate state and federal legislation that impact wellness programs and provide guidance to our clients on creating standards-based wellness programs that are compliant with employee privacy and protection laws. I work with The Biggest Loser Corporate strategy team to create synergies with health plans and benefit brokers looking to bring an engaging wellness strategy to their clients.

Executive responsibility for non-dues revenue at the trade association representing over 200 million covered lives. Analyze market trends and the organizational strength of vendors to make service recommendations to AHIPs health plan members. Drive content and revenue generation for AHIPs various products including event sponsorship, multimedia assets, and topical research. Negotiate revenue share arrangements with preferred vendors in emerging market segments. Consult with the scope of AHIP Affiliate Organization Members on the relationship between health care policy and market opportunity.

Responsible for the design of corporate partnership and sponsorship opportunities surrounding AHIP’s wellness initiatives, research and events.

Deployed as a channel expert to key clients in universities, health clubs, and hospitals to increase B2B revenue and increase product utilization. Facilitated the data collection and reporting for corporate wellness initiatives that spanned nine Fortune 100 companies. Created training tools for national health clubs to implement system-wide sales strategies utilizing health assessment technology.

No matter where I go professionally, I will always remain engaged in community wellness grants when afforded the time to do so. I have been involved at various stages of over 50 externally funded health initiatives with writing credit in 37 programs to date.
