About Jake H.
I am nearing the end of a schools direct teacher training course to become a primary school teacher. I have a wide range of experience in coaching and school settings having worked with various abilities and ages across both primary and secondary school pupils. I am hardworking and always keen to learn and develop my knowledge across diverse environments.I have good organisational skills and a range of experiences which I am able to draw upon in the classroom. I have worked with a range of pupils from different backgrounds, including SEND children. I have fantastic knowledge in delivering physical activity sessions to primary school children, shown by my various experiences; I have coached in a primary school setting for a number of years with varied groups.Basketball is a hobby of mine. I have represented an elite club, Gloucestershire County, and the South West of England in overseas tournaments whilst playing for the university's BUCS team in 2019-2020. Alongside my participation in the sport, I have coached and supported sessions for numerous years covering boys and girls from aged 6 up to 18 years, at all 3 levels; club, county and region. I have gained my level 2 coaching certificate, level 2 table officiating and level 2 refereeing qualifications specific to basketball.I am looking forward to pursuing a career in primary school teaching and the opportunities I will have to impact more young children throughout their development. I am excited to further my expertise in full time employment, which I am currently seeking.
