I am also a musician, MC (the public speaking type; I'm not a rapper), music teacher and events coordinator, working frequently around Australia.I am a passionate believer in the power of music to bring joy and happiness into the lives of all human beings. This seems to be a combination of hard work, lots of mistakes, asking for help, acting on that help, employing smart and nice people, reminding myself to work harder, and reading really great books on leadership. Sometimes sitting down to these books has been the highlight of my day.At Tremolo our mission is to make it as easy as possible to book live musicians, bands and DJs for events. Our vision is to be global leader in event music; supporting both the live music industry and improving the quality of events and weddings across the world.My current role as events coordinator for The Bombastics has given me the opportunity to advise, organise and bring about amazing, memorable performances for organisations including the Asian Pacific HPBA Congress, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, MCI Australia, Victorian Racing Club Limited and charity organisations like World Youth International and the Amaranth Foundation.If you've got ideas, suggestions or questions about what I do, please reach out. Learning Specialist And Head Of Music (Eastern Campus)Rowville Secondary College Feb 2019 - PresentMelbourne, Victoria, AustraliaCurrently co-Head of Music, managing a team of eight instrumental music teachers and leading a team of five classroom music teachers to deliver high-quality industry focused music education to students from years 7-12. A rapidly growing program that includes mentoring students in the writing, recording and releasing of original music, performing in industry settings and preparing final year students for tertiary auditions. In my role as Learning Specialist I coach, demonstrate and lead staff on the implementation of mostly pedagogical decisions the school makes in line with the School Strategic Plan and the Department of Education's FISO 2.0. Currently we're driving changes to assessment practices with a very strong emphasis on formative assessment.Rowville Secondary College is an exciting place to work we're I'm valued for my skillset and given numerous opportunities for growth. Most importantly though, the educational offering for students in Music is outstanding and our results speak to this.
