The name's Jake. As a 21st Century Man, I've spent my entire life around technology and I've always been interested in the "hows" & "whys": how/why something works as well as how/why it can be used to improve people's lives. When DVDs overtook VHS as the dominant home video medium, I remember being fascinated by the idea that these two ostensibly different pieces of tech (an analog tape & a digitally-encoded disc) can perform generally the same task of displaying audio & video to a TV screen. Music is my main hobby and I have specifically developed a passion for record engineering due to my interest in the technical aspects of that process. Don't get me wrong - I love performing live but its things like microphones, amps, effects pedals and the fact that all can be used to capture sound in a DAW where it can then be further produced & played back at any time that really gets my gears turning.Currently, my technological preoccupation has led me to become a C#/.NET coding bootcamp student at Tech Elevator. Here, I am learning invaluable skills in the field of web application development for the goal of landing a job where I can let my tech-mindedness, logical problem-solving skills & dedication to innovation shine. I see a bright future for myself in this industry and I cannot wait to tackle the opportunities which will present themselves to me as I go along on my software development journey!
