I am a graduate of Tech Elevator, which is a 14-week full-stack coding bootcamp. There, I learned how to create dynamic web-based software systems using Java. It provided 800+ hours of development, education, and application.My obsession with technology can be traced back to my childhood days. Whether it was being excited for school because it was computer lab day, playing Crash Bandicoot on the PlayStation, or even passing my step-mom's iPhone around the car on long road trips taking turns playing games on that new and wonderful touch-screen device!Those things prepared my mind to be curious about the nature of the world, even outside of technology. I get such a thrill from understanding how something works. The first musical instrument I learned to play was the snare drum. I knew I liked how it sounded, but had no idea why it made that sound. After all, I am just striking a plastic drum head with a wooden drum stick. That led me to ask questions and learn that it made that sound due the the metal chains that spanned across the bottom drum head were vibrating in reaction to the top head being struck. Not only this, but in fact, you can flip a switch on the side of the drum to lower to chains away from the bottom head to give the drum a whole new sound!Music, among other things, has given me the skills necessary to approach new things with a willingness and desire to learn all I can.
