Normally, this is the "about box" is where I tout every professional accomplishment I have achieved thus far in my career. However, to take a bit of a different approach I want to dive a bit deeper than surface level corporate kudos and be a bit more of a human. So, if I may...- I love being a momentary center of attention. Public speaking on a topic I am passionate about and an expert on is a sure fire way to get my blood pumping. Is it excitement or anxiety? Still not entirely sure yet, but what I do know is that when I get the chance to speak I always take it.- Being allowed to express myself creatively, even when inside a box, is always a top priority of mine when searching for a job or project to work on. From a young age I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to express myself by my mentors. This has aided me in finding out a lot more about what creative directions I want to pursue.- I have learned that being challenged with the work I get to do, especially when it is outside of my normal scope, is more of an opportunity and less of a hinderance. Change means a chance for learning, and learning means growth. The world is ever changing around us and if we don't grow alongside it, we become a relic.- Communication and Coordination are paramount for a project or process to run smoothly. I am enamored with how incredibly smart people design tools for us to be more well equipped when handling a workload. Implementing new strategies or improving upon current ones really presses the dopamine button in my brain.- Lastly, a quote; "Comparison is the thief of joy" - Theodore Roosevelt. We are all capable of amazing things & if we work hard enough while putting ourselves into situations to showcase that work, we will find success and purpose. There is no use comparing ourselves to others, yet if you are going to compare for the sake of it, compare yourself to who you were yesterday - hopefully that person has grown, even a minuscule amount.
