I helped create the Australian iOS/Mac developer conference.

I developed the iPad and iPhone apps for the ABC’s popular iview catch-up TV service (#1 in the Australian App Store on the day it launched).I also provided technical and creative input in the development of the Foodi and Playschool ArtMaker iPad apps.

As a member of a team developing the Content Production System (CPS) that produces the BBC News web site (http://news.bbc.co.uk), I developed of a number of web applications used to monitor the publication of new news and converted the build system to use Maven.I was involved in reengineering the page-rendering subsystem of the CPS so it was easier to make changes to the presentation layer. As part of this I developed a rich internet application using the Cappuccino framework and client-side storage. I also undertook two ‘innovation projects’: a web app that displayed a continuous ‘river of news’ that was updated every time a new story was published on the BBC News website and a prototype BBC News iPhone application.

I developed a number of web applications to support the development and delivery of scientific software, including an application to manage several large conferences, allowing attendees to register for sessions and pay online.
