I manage all database related responsibilities, including a global database support organization. I designed the entire database infrastructure including a near real time database instance, cluster setup for our high availability database system, and lead the database architecture team in ensuring our platform is alive and healthy even during maintenance releases.I lead database teams across multiple continents, and work with the business teams at MFG.com to ensure proper resolution to database related tasks and tickets. I am an owner and a Principal Consultant of Xelion Technology Services. I have been consulting for nearly 12 years, and spent over 15 years in the IT industry. I have experience working with Java, .NET (C#/VB.NET/ASP.NET), SQL Server, and Oracle. I also have experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), the WWF (Windows Workflow Foundation), and the WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). Designed and created a multi-terabyte database on SQL Server 2005 and concurrently on Oracle 10g.Wrote and analyzed all T-SQL and PL/SQL objects for performance and scalability.Database was designed as a hybrid OLTP/OLAP database that provided rapid insertion (12000 transactions per second) while being able to search the multi-terabyte database with sub-second response time with a hardware TCO under $20,000.00 (US).This specific database was built to support thousands of concurrent users of the system.Maintained and wrote all ERWin models and documentation including database design documentation, detailed enterprise database testing plans, recovery and failover clustering documentation, and database dictionaries. Database developer for designing Diverse Supplier Data Warehouse for ChoicePoint, Inc. This database was developed in SQL Server as well as Oracle at the same time. Database was designed using ERWin 4.1.Lead in creating migration plans from over 100 different data sources to this database using DataStage. Data sources were large, creating a data warehouse that was nearly four terabytes.Lead in all client meetings regarding all database design and development issues.Lead in designing all database dimensions and facts to build scalable database stars.Lead in developing all T-SQL and PL/SQL objects, and required to ensure functional compatibility between all T-SQL and PL/SQL objects.
