Accountable for the strategy and design across Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Tech4Tech, Service Management, Infrastructure, Content, Workflow and Robotics, Software Engineering, DevOps, Developer Platform, Service and Event Mesh, Integration.

The Group Chief Architect for one of the world’s largest DevOps & Agile transformations successfully architecting and change at scale across an IT workforce of 45k+ delivering new technology and infrastructure, ways of working and culture shift, compliance & controls, tooling, process optimisation, measurement and business transformation.Responsible for the IT4IT/Tech4Tech strategy, architecture and design supporting the internal functions supporting a $6Bn IT group. Developed and introduced the Global Practice Model defining the setup, structure and operating models across Architecture (which I was also Global Head of), Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure, Test, Cyber & Security, Data and Project Management, and introduced a new Operating Model and Ways of Working transforming the organisation. Designed the cloud architecture frameworks defining the technologies, roadmaps and blueprints to support selection and migration to cloud for AWS, Azure and GCP.

I supported the startup and creation of Wipro’s Digital arm and led the Digital Enterprise Architecture team comprising senior unicorn styled Chief Architects, responsible for the oversight and creation of strategic advisory, solution design, and large-scale client digital transformation across all technology domains and industry verticals.Additionally I was responsible for the overall DevOps & Agile strategy across all Wipro Group’s Service Lines, Business Units and Practices.

Responsible for the infrastructure architecture, strategy and transformational design for all platforms and tooling across the Group. Successfully designed and delivered the technology (data, security, infrastructure, operations and test) approach and architecture for the Integration of LTSB & HBOS (plus minor brands) and subsequent divestment of TSB. These also included the migration designs, testing and live event lead for technology. Led the DEVOPS and AGILE IT charge across the full life cycle and underpinning architecture, creating the group aligned IT2020 and DEVOP strategy and design.

Aided the start-up of a new global team to integrate and oversee the North American, European and International Technology and Operational IT groups. Managed multiple global virtual teams of over 100, to guide and define business requirements, evaluate technology and providers, develop solutions and deliver global infrastructure change programs. Identified opportunities to introduce standardisation, develop aligned strategies, Green IT and cost reduction. Chaired the Technical Standards Council globally controlling the introduction and removal of all IT assets, including global software audit lead responsibilities.

Managed the GM European Infrastructure Service Delivery and Operations, Head of Architectural Design and led the Opertional Transformation program. Introduced major change and greater efficiencies for one of the world’s largest multinationals. Delivered numerous large scale projects and created new processes for integrated global cross PMO planning and architectural alignment. Introduced new operational planning and support techniques ensuring 24x7 operational stability, managing one of the world’s largest 100% multi-vendor IT outsource deals, supporting 750+ applications in finance, retail, sales and marketing, manufacturing, supply chain and the 3rd party supplier/franchise divisions.

Led a team of senior telecom specialists, enterprise architects and programme managers responsible for the design, governance, RFP/Q, provision and roll-out of one of the World's largest out and in-sourced Extranets, Corporate Intranets and B2B, B2C in house and XaaS hosted services. Provided mission critical WAN and enterprise class application services to Ford Motor Companies European and AsiaPac marketing and sales, supplier, retail and financial divisions of the Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Mazda & Land Rover brands, suppliers and globally distributed dealer network, including large scale application and network integration and separation.

Head of diverse operational systems and project delivery departments, comprising large teams of military and civilian staff both land and sea based; HMS Chatham, HMS Ark Royal, HQ Strike Command Northwood, Defence Communication Agency Whitehall, HMS Excellent.Development, delivery and management of the IT enterprise, data centres, communication sites, secure LAN/WAN voice and data communication to mission critical global operations. Held several Special Intelligence and Electronic Warfare related positions and formed part of numerous MoD IT Steering & Sourcing Committees. Additionally a NBC (Nuclear, Biological & Chemical) Warfare Protection Officer. Seconded on UK recruitment drive programme and increased Naval recruitment by 30% in catchment area.
