I act as a figurehead for the Exploratorium's efforts in programming for community spaces and with informal learning/educational partners. The bulk of my work has focused on devising and managing programs including content/curriculum, hiring & training & professional development, and quality assessment & evaluations. My work develops and refines pedagogies around tinkering/making and other forms of embodied or material-based learning, and I have utilized research-practice methods to advise on other projects and programs across the museum and Bay Area, especially cross-institutionally.

A co-founding member, the Race & Equity Council was established to guide, support, operationalize, and advocate for Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion (DEA&I) throughout the Exploratorium, and to create, communicate, and engage all staff in plans for responding to the DEA&I call to action.

Representing the Exploratorium's Global Studios division on a collaborative project with Google Making & Science, my work functions to develop educational activities and partnerships, provide facilitation for youth ages 10-14, and professional development for educators in out-of-school settings. These experiences and programs informed the development and design of a smartphone-enabled app called Science Journal which utilized embedded software and hardware functionalities to enliven learning around phenomena, mathematics, and physics. My work also involved managing and designing an OST program held in-house at the Exploratorium. XTech is a technology program designed for middle school and high school students from San Francisco populations that are underrepresented in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) professions. XTech encourages students to have a positive sense of their potential, an awareness of their talents, and the self-confidence to pursue STEM learning. The program develops students’ communication skills, creative thinking skills, and both traditional and digital technology skills.

I wield my crafts skills, advocacy, event planning, emceeing, instructional design and facilitation, and live performance chops in my work as Imelda Glucose, my drag alter ego (and core being). I am a longtime member of San Francisco’s premier all-AANHPI drag house the Rice Rockettes. I presented curriculum on the ways craft practices and lineages of making cross intersectionalities of race and queer identity through decorated forms of performance and gender expression.- "Filipino & Queer Intersections: Solidarity in Power" as a co-organizer, host, and panel moderator. This film screening and panel discussion pivoted around the topic of the San Francisco International Hotel and its place of prominence in the history of Filipinos in America. History and imagery were shared in snippets of a documentary screening by FACINE followed by a panel discussion featuring prominent community members and historians.- Queer Counselors-in-Training Summer Camp as a co-organizer and event producer for three years (2021-2024). This grant-funded summer camp program is a queer affinity weeklong youth workforce and personal development workshop series and sleepaway camp that offers navigation tools for identity and for health. I developed immersive drag experiences for teens and young adults around topics of queer history, drag as a form of expression, and wellbeing. - "Fresh Off the Block: A QTAPI Week Celebration" as an event co-organizer, workshop space facilitator, and community ambassador.

The New Leaders Council (NLC) Institute is a national organization and the premier leadership and professional development, training, mentoring, networking, and career and political advancement program for young professionals across its many chapters. NLC recruits Fellows from outside traditional power structures and equips them with the skills necessary to be civic leaders in their communities and workplaces.

My position is half market-building and brand development, done by locating, developing, defining, and negotiating business and educational relationships with elementary and middle schools in San Francisco as well as with community centers and private companies, and half educational development, through which I build curriculum as well as foster strategies and growth in teachers. I devote my work both to teaching in our enrichment programs and to establishing quality educational resources and environments for other educators.

Utilizing a mixture of commonplace and technical materials, I facilitate learning of STEM principles for groups of youths ages 7-14 developing skills specifically in engineering, physics, and design.

Explainers act as curators and educational enrichment figures for groups of visiting classes and youths. We tailor the experience of learning and interacting with the exhibits to the needs of these classes, developing materials and organizing lectures, demonstrations, and activities in an immersive way.

I work with a group of fifteen 5th grade students in the San Francisco Bay Academy's After School Program to provide an educational enrichment course. I develop curriculum for and teach a course on writing for a publication, providing skills in creative and journalistic writing.

I produce and maintain relationships with individuals whose residences or properties make for adequate planting sites. I work closely with volunteer outreach staff to organize Planting Events and to preserve the health of trees already planted.

I provide intensive tutoring for a group of about 30 high-performing, low-income middle school kids as well as write and execute lesson plans for elective courses. I also assist with and chaperone field trips and extracurricular events.Fall 2012: I'm teaching an elective course on Film Studies. The students and I are exploring aesthetics of cinema, the filmmaking process, and how to write film criticism. October 2012: Attended the Tech Museum in San Jose and led a group of eight students, providing learning tools to increase the value of the exhibits as we toured.

I currently provide assistance with social media campaigns and integration across digital and print platforms as well as event managing, with past projects that include archival work and commercial outreach. + VIP Party at City Hall, San Francisco Pride 2012: A staple in the festivities of Pride Weekend, I organized and supervised 30-40 volunteers for setup, bussing, ticketing and serving a crowd of 800-900 attendees employing the services of fifteen local and corporate vendors.+ 07/2012: Awarded Excellence in Service+ 08/2012: Check-Granting Party: An annual community-building sponsorship ceremony, I provided Audio/Visual/Lights work, a constituent part of which was working with presenters and our emcee, Donna Sachet.+ 09/2012: Annual General Meeting: I acted as team leader for the registration tables for voting members to (re-)elect members of the board.
