“Architecture is the fiction of the real world” - Bjarke Ingels, to me this is architecture, the way in which fiction is created from dreams and designed and placed in the real world. Architecture is the harmony and collaberation of the arts, sciences and maths. It pursues fantasy in a logical and sensible way. I focus on this and bring it down to logical level.I am a hard working and motivated BA (Hons) Architecture undergraduate student, currently studying at Sheffield Hallam University seeking a placement or full-time employment in the field of architecture.I developed an interest in architecture through the study of art and design during my GCSEs, and this broadend into architecture during an assignment in graphic design that looked into architecture and how it reflects culture and society. My approach to architecture is to develop work using knowledge and concept development to achieve a harmoness result between society, architectures purpose and environmental sustainability. I have traveled to Germany, France and Cyprus and have experienced how culture is reflected in architecture and how the approaches differ depending on the country.I am passionate about architecture and as such driven to succeed in any given project, wether as part of a group or individually. I believe in the importance of creating architecture fit for the client and am capable of innovative designs and concepts to achieve the best result for the client. I also place an emphasis on environmental architecture and its importance in society, wether it be the primary focus of a project or a background detail. I believe it is important to communicate clearly to the client and I am able to to achieve this in depth either through software such as SketchUp and AutoCad, though I place an empthasis on sketching as its more personnal and easier to express your ideas to the client. I am adverse in both detailed and sketching as well as technical drawings. I also note the importance of software like Adobe Photoshop, AutoCad and SketchUp being used together to convey the character and form of a project in a detailed fashion.I am passionate about architecture and enjoy the prospect of it becoming my career and feel comfortable in the architecture dynamic and shifting design requirements and design styles.
