Throughout my four years at the University of Mississippi, I have been able to further enhance my knowledge about threats to our nation and its people. My educational background has thus provided me with the desire to obtain a career path in which I can provide for the betterment of others. Both internships I obtained provided me with significant real world experience that will benefit my future career. Most recently, I completed an internship with The Hudson Institute in which I was asked to complete tasks such as editing documents, contributing analysis to other interns' reports, and conducting my own analysis and reports. Additionally, my internship with Wicklander-Zulawski allowed me to gather a greater understanding of how to carry out an interview or interrogation in an ethical, non-confrontational manner. Examples of contributions: - Edits on style and substance for an intro-chapter of a book about the new alignment between Russia and China- Provided quality background material and analysis on the new U.S. strategy towards Central Asia- Carried out thorough research and analysis about the changing missile/missile defense environment in the Middle East- Contributed analysis about new hyper-sonic missile threats from Asia- Collaborated with a 6-person team for my capstone project focused on an over-arching threat analysis of China's intentions in the South China Sea and Taiwan. This project was successfully completed remotely, and demonstrated my team's ability to adapt to a difficult scenario.
