Responsible for: Management of all planned and unplanned maintenance activities. Ensure that all maintenance personnel follow permit to work and isolation procedures. Review all JSA or TRA for work conditions that would present any hazard or risk to personnel or equipment. Conduct daily safety toolbox talk and monthly safety meetings with maintenance personnel. Participate in the investigation of accidents and incidents, formulate reports and provide corrective actions as appropriate. Plan and execute maintenance as per the facilities management documentation. Ensure supervisors & technicians utilize materials and resources competently and follows established procedures for completing work tasks. Ensure that preventative maintenance routines are followed as per the CMMS. Review condition monitoring reports like vibration analysis, oil & fuel sample analysis, temperature readings etc and act accordingly. Review reporting of labor, parts and history entered into the CMMS. Management of Warehouse and the spare parts inventory, ordering of parts required or stock replenishment. Ensure that the Maintenance Budget is not overrun. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures. Perform annual performance evaluation for all maintenance personnel.

Keppel FELS – Brazil Commissioning of the Platform Hull. Float over of Hull & Topsides: Perform Pre-commissioning inspections on all Hull pumps, auxiliary, material handling, ventilation and life saving equipment. Assist commissioning teams to perform final commissioning as per vendor / company operation and test procedures. Assist Marine and Float-over teams with the mating and integration of the Hull & Topside. Assist Marine and Platform installation teams with the final installation of the Platform. Keppel FELS - Singapore: Commissioning of Platform Topsides: Pre-commissioning inspections on all process, auxiliary, material handling, living quarters and life saving equipment. Ensure that punch list items are entered into the unit’s commissioning data base. Ensure that major punch list items had been rectified before final commissioning. Assist commissioning team to perform final commissioning as per Vendor / Company operation and test procedures. Compile mechanical preventative maintenance schedules for all platform equipment. Checking of 2 year spares for all equipment and amend as required. Compile mechanical workshop tooling and consumable lists. Assist maintenance supervisor to compile equipment preventative maintenance procedures, CBTA and facility maintenance management documentation.

Advise client on all maintenance requirements and repairs on four Caterpillar G3600 series engines. Plan, coordinate and perform all maintenance and repairs on the engine and engine management systems. Trouble shooting and repair of the engine and engine control systems faults. Ensuring all essential parts required are onboard and ordered if required. Interact between the client and Barloworld management. Maintenance and repairs on all diesel engines onboard the unit.

Dealing directly with customers for equipment maintenance or breakdown repairs. Respond to customer maintenance requirements and quarries. Quote customers on servicing, repairs, overhauling etc. in the workshop or on site. Supervise, plan and coordinate onsite maintenance or breakdown repairs on customer equipment. I.E. Standby or prime generators, Caterpillar engines fitted to OEM equipment like mobile compressors, underground mining equipment, on highway truck etc. Arrange parts required in the field by technicians while on site and also assist with technical queries and information required. Supervise all workshop activities on customer or sales department generators, engines or OEM equipment. Liaise with the company administration departments for customer invoicing

Preventative maintenance & breakdown repairs on customer standby or prime generators, engine control systems and automatic mains failure control panels. Trouble shooting and repair of engine performance problems, generator voltage output problems, engine auto electrical or automatic mains failure control faults. Installation and commissioning of generators & automatic mains failure control systems. Repairs and maintenance of Caterpillar engines installed in OEM equipment I.E. Off highway trucks, mobile compressor units, mining drill rigs etc.

Major overhauling and testing of: Engines, engine fuel pumps, turbo chargers, engine oil & water pumps, cylinder heads, all other engine accessories, hydraulic pumps, earth moving equipment transmissions & power generation. Although apprenticeship completed as an earth moving equipment mechanic, all training was completed in the engine rebuild, transmission rebuild and power generation departments.
