Created and maintained developer tools for UserLand’s Frontier platform. Built, developed, and supported communities of writers and engineers who contributed to our products and technology.

Sonic Solutions (acquired by Rovi in 2010) developed and marketed professional non-linear digital audio workstations for music editing, CD mastering, and sound-for-picture editing. In the late 1990’s, Sonic also developed professional DVD authoring systems, and eventually expanded into software-based consumer DVD authoring.I created our build automation systems from scratch, and integrated them with our source code control systems, bug database, and email systems. I also managed the source code branching strategy, and provided training and support to developers on source code management and software build and deployment.

Lead QA Engineer for Sonic’s DVD Producer -- professional DVD authoring workstation product, at that time Sonic's flagship product. Lead QA Engineer for Desktop DVD -- Sonic’s entry-level professional authoring system. QA Engineer for Sonic Studio, Sonic's audio editing and mastering mainstay product line, responsible for testing automation, QuickTime integration and multi-track audio recording.I developed Sonic’s first in-house test automation tools, improved dev/test engineering processes enhanced Sonic’s bug databases, and implemented comprehensive automated test suites and related tools.
