As Program Lead, I was the leader of a team of fifteen software engineers across several projects for Synapse's largest client. I was responsible for:* Extensive domain knowledge of microcontrollers, electrical design, low-power sensing technologies, efficient sensor processing algorithms, low-power wireless technologies (e.g. Bluetooth 4.0) and other communications protocols (e.g. USB), and embedded storage.* High-level project architecture and selection of appropriate technologies.* Bringing appropriate software development methodologies to bear as needed, using techniques from agile and scrum as well as knowledge of available SCM and collaboration tools.* Project estimation and resource planning to meet our client's budgetary and timeline constraints, mapping Synapse's capabilities to their product roadmap.* Managing technical project leads and engineering managers on my team to monitor the quality of the output of my teams, and working within the rest of the organization to see that their needs are being met.

I served as Synapse's product development leader for a Fortune 100 apparel company's consumer electronics development efforts.

I worked as a research assistant under Drs. Takeo Kanade, Simon Baker, and Jianbo Shi at CMU's Robotics Institute. My research explored scene understanding for autonomous vehicles, using techniques from computer vision and artificial intelligence.
