Remote Support Technician
CurrentProvide current Comcast service subscribers with an optimized tech support experience. This involves communicating with both customers as well as agents from other departments, and supervisory staff. As a technical support agent, I would answer customer calls, and then communicate with the customer to figure out what was going on. After confirming the problem, I would use special software to make a connection between myself and customers devices and perform simple to advanced system diagnostics, and then figure how to deliver the most efficient solution in the shortest amount of time. My department was dedicated to high speed internet as well as voice(home phone) services. However, everyone would transfer calls to our department, so I was also able to become knowledgeable and able to assist customers with their services such as cable tv, mobile phones, home security services, as well as user accounts/emails/application problems. We used tools such as virtual private networks, multiple accounts across a variety of services and sites, company webmail, office applications such as word, excel, outlook. Adobe acrobat was also used as our pdf viewer for our device manuals. VoIP services/programs to manage answering / transferring phone calls. NAC Network Assessment Clients, Virtual Desktop Interfaces or Remote Desktops. ACSR / CSG Billing Software, Interactive Technical Guides, Interactive Voice Response Systems, Two-Factor Authentication Services. We also used specialty software to perform tasks such as provision modems and DVR cable boxes
