I managed the technical aspects of our product and I worked with both the Sales Reps and the Engineering team to solve problems and create better systems though the company. As the company's needs continued to change, I again altered my role. As the Director of Operations I oversee product management, account management, data gathering, analysis and interpretation using SQL. Plus, I oversee software development for the company and successfully launched a new design of our application for Android devices. I look forward to continuing to evolve my role and provide more benefit to our customers and the company.

    Highlights: I ran highly technical lessons in a dynamic environment. I researched and executed a well thought out marketing plan to grow online business. Loved life. I really wanted an adventure. I was a couple of years out of my MBA and working for Velosum when I saw a post for kite boarding instructor at Wind Over Water. What could be a more perfect adventure - teaching kite boarding in the most amazing city with the hooked in legend, Jeff Kafka. I restructured my job with Velosum to work remotely on my own time and moved with my wife and two year old daughter to Pacifica. I would wake early to complete my remote Velosum work, teach kite boarding lessons using jet skis from noon to 6 PM, get home to fly my paraglider off the bluff in front of our apartment until sunset, have diner with my family, and then work on marketing for Wind Over Water until late. It didn't leave a lot of time, but I completed a new website built from the ground up on Drupal. I used my SEO research from the website to re-engineer the Google Adwords account which dropped our CPC by nearly 50% and increased our CTR by over 30%. I also worked with Yelp, Google, Living Social, Groupon, to promote the business. It was great to be part of a business that customers love - even the newsletter email campaign had stellar open rates. At the end of the summer, my wife's bachelor degree was calling and we returned to Utah where I picked back up to full time at Velosum. I still work closely with Wind Over Water on both marketing consulting and snow kiting instruction here in Utah. And I still would love to return to the Bay someday.
