In 2018 I fell in love. It was a high school English class. My teacher showed a video of a speech made by a politician whom I had never heard nor did I care about. It was the driest, most unexciting speech I had ever heard. I had to get out. But then she shocked me. She showed the speech again, this time edited differently. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The speech was so moving that my heart pounded and I was actually excited to be in a high school English class. This is when I fell in love with the power of editing. I have since developed the skills and experience to make this love of stirring emotions within people my career. I graduate in May, 2022 from a private university in Arkansas with a double major in media production and integrated marketing communication. Taking a raw message and refining it into an elegant, compact story is what I have to offer.
