Having honed my technical skills throughout my time at Brownfield Solutions, my role has developed to the production of more complex, bespoke and technical assessments, project managing, and being responsible for more of the commercial aspects of the business from the proposal stage to completion.As well as this, my role involves the mentorship of newer members of staff within the company, to undertake on the job training, and pass on the knowledge I have gained to ensure the development of their skills.

The main focus of the company is desk studies and ground investigations for a variety of land remediation projects, including residential, commercial and industrial works. Ground investigations include organising and supervising site work, logging soil and rock, taking samples for environmental and geotechnical analysis and monitoring standpipes for gas and groundwater levels. Desk studies comprise of historical land-use data and geological map analysis, assessing possible contamination sources, receptors and pathways, liaising with environmental offices and constructing risk assessments for site use.
