About Jakob Ames

Hello! My name is Jakob, and I was born and raised in Northern Virginia just outside of the nation's capital. I am a senior at the University of Florida majoring in media production, management, and technology. I have a deep passion for sports, and I am a big believer in using the power of social media to connect with others, so my goal is to combine both into a career once I get my bachelors degree. Whether it's for the spread of information or just making someone laugh, I know that social media has the power to impact our lives, especially through sports, which captivate millions of people every day. Some people may describe me as humorous, and while that may be the case, I would call myself a hard worker. In fact, my work ethic has always been one of my greatest strengths. I took additional classes in high school to graduate a year early, and through my first six semesters at UF I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Additionally, I work part-time as a lifeguard on campus, and I'm in a social media internship with Barstool Sports covering UF sports and student life. Feel free to reach out to me on here!
