About Jakob Cramer

Jakob Cramer joined the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) in June 2019 as Head of Clinical Development. In his role, Jakob leads a team which has technical oversight of clinical aspects of CEPI funded vaccines in development and provides input into strategic as well as enabling science activities that supports CEPI’s mission to accelerate the development of vaccines against emerging infectious diseases. Jakob is a physician specialized in internal medicine, tropical medicine and infectious diseases with 13 years of experience in patient care and clinical research in an academic environment as well as 5 years in the vaccine industry. In his academic as well as industry career, Jakob was involved in the clinical development of vaccines for several infectious diseases including seasonal and pandemic influenza, rabies, meningococcal diseases, travellers’ diarrhoea, Japanese encephalitis, dengue, norovirus gastroenteritis and poliomyelitis.
