Worked with the Enterprise Decommission team, which oversees the decommission of infrastructure and/or applications across UHG and Optums' massive ecosystem. Greatly improved the decommission pipeline through automation, allowing project managers to quickly and easily manage their decommission targets.• REST APIs – Creation of secure loosely coupled Microservices to improve legacy scripts and provide stability to all future products. (Python, FastAPI, Swagger)• Automation of Financial Reporting – Planned and released web-based financial data viewer which updates in real time, removing the need for time spent creating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports. Filtering, dropdown, and drill-down capabilities with ability to export as stylized Excel/PDF. Highly visible product used by leaders of the company. • Automation of the Decommission Pipeline – Released/supported project management tools used by the team to track/maintain each of their 20+ decommission targets. Pulled the necessary data (Servers, DBs, infrastructure owners, billing data....) into one place in order for a project manager to fully shut down an application. Acted as a starting point for project managers. First took form as a generated Excel, later released as full-fledged web app. (Python, Flask)• Project Management – Lead the decommission effort on over 100 targets. Worked with app teams across the world in order to preserve sensitive data and safely shut down servers, databases, cloud architecture, and much more.
