The Association of Danish Cosmetics, Toiletries, Soap and Detergent Industries (SPT) represents manufacturers and suppliers of cosmetics, toiletries, soap and detergents for the consumer market as well as the professional I&I market.The Association was founded in 1907 under the name of “The Soap and Perfumery Manufacturer Association”. At that time Jens Christian Christensen was leading the Government, and most towns had its own local soap and perfumery manufacturer. Later, in 1931, followed “The Perfumery and Toiletry Association”. The two associations merged in 1970 and became “The Association of Danish Cosmetics, Toiletries, Soap and Detergent Industries”. Later, in 1979, joined also “The Association of Suppliers to the Hairdresser Trade”.Today, the Association counts around 100 Danish member companies.
