Connecting global politics and economic developments to financial markets: Over the past 8 years, worked for sell-side institutions in London and Denmark, advising asset managers and large and small corporates, heading the global macro research group responsible for emerging markets and advanced countries analysis and connecting the dots to the outlook for financial markets and cross-asset outlook.Detailed analysis of countries' economic and debt issues: I have considerable experience in designing and analazying the impact of economic adjustment programmes in crisis countries. At the IMF, I worked on numerous program countries mainly in Africa and South America. At the EU Commission, I worked on fiscal and debt related issues in the context of the Greek economic adjustment programme. Sovereign debt restructuring and risks: Involved in the Greek debt restructuring in 2012 and undertook the HIPC debt relief initiatives for heavily indebted poor African and LATAM countries (the Gambia, Rwanda, and Guyana) and have written several research papers on the impact of large public debt burdens in developing and developed countries as well as sell-side recommendations on debt cases in Greece and Ukraine.Financial markets and reserve management: At the Danish central bank, I managed the credit risk on the foreign reserves during the financial crisis in 2008. This work gave me considerable experience with international capital markets, investment strategies and risk management techniques.
