About Jakub Chmiel

I graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Chemical Engineering.I chose my major to gain a broad set of technical problem solving skills to be able to make an impact on any real world problem. To expand my Chemical Engineering abilities I led research in the development of novel color dye preservation techniques. Later, at Nature Coatings, I developed a new environmentally friendly textile dye. As a project lead of The Camden Project of Engineers Without Borders I led the development of multiple rain water collection and distribution systems for urban gardeners in Camden, NJ. To become more versatile still, I expanded on my passion for computer programming by completing the Data Structures course at Rutgers while working on ambitious projects acquiring new skills including java, MATLAB, C#, Blender and more. I am currently working at Open Systems International as a Software Engineer.
