As a Compliance Analyst III I was responsible for investigating potentially suspicious activity and preparing suspicious activity reports. The investigation includes internal and external research, analysis of transactions and evaluation risk.I spent part of my time providing help and training to my less experienced colleagues. I also prepared training materials and job aids/instructions. I was engaged in initiatives meant to improve the process and team performance.

PwC was my first proper corporate job and it greatly influenced my further professional development. Except from my main engagement, I took part in several M&A projects run by PwC Legal. Primarly, I worked within one of multiple production cells on a major AML project (100-150 FTE) for one of the largest European financial institutions:- started as junior analyst I was quickly promoted to Operations Specialist and a quality controller role- conducting KYC and FATCA/CRS review for the wholesale banking client, mostly large international corporations with complex ownership structure- name screening and screening results resolution (sanctions, PEP, adverse media in World-Check, RDC)- assuring quality for the cell consisting ~12 analyst- collaborating with the leadership team and subject matter experts to improve the overall project quality and spot weak spots- providing training sessions and individual coaching to my colleagues
