This is what I strive for.In high school I got passionate about mathematics and physics and how they could help understand the Physical World around us, the “hardware”. This led me to study building structures. But then, while I joined the family business and started working in the “real word” I realized the importance of understanding and managing the Human World around us, the “software”.My philosophies are: Define a purpose. Build a great team. Inspire the team to win. Find the right questions to ask. And the rest follows (strategy definition, execution, etc.).After I joined the family business, in concrete manufacturing (PREFAB), I realized the importance of management and leadership, on top of engineering. I then had to learn how to solve problems in a family-run manufacturing business, saving the company from bankruptcy.I could advise private and public organizations from within an international development agency (IFC of the World Bank). I helped turn around a public organization (OFPPT Corporate Services) fixing an incentive-based training scheme for SMEs (not for profit) and laying down a strategy for selling training to SMEs (for-profit).Then I joined a totally new industry for me, in agriculture, where I am thrilled to have inspired a team to make a company a world leader in some areas of our industry and triple revenues and profits in 9 years.After almost 20 years of work experience in various sectors, and looking ahead, I became passionate about thinking out of the box to reinvent businesses.
