As a leader in the City of Wauwatosa, a premier Milwaukee first ring suburb, I am privileged to shape City government's digital strategy and drive solutions that fulfills our mission. Over the past few years we have been able to modernize the City's physical network and data center infrastructures, implement a modern Enterprise Resource Planning solution, and build a private fiber network that powers future growth. This work is largely done with strong interdepartmental partnerships that share a common goal of improving public service, understand each partners strengths and needs, and look for opportunities in the mundane. As the Director of Information Services, my goals are to predict out clients' needs and proactively offer solutions that help customer facing and internal service groups keep the City residents excited about calling Wauwatosa home. I also focus on - Protecting the City's digital assets both from physical and cyber threats- Provide technical and fiscal management of the City’s technology operations, resources, and projects- Improve performance of City services through use of information services that are secure, reliable, and available-when-needed- Develop and maintain skilled staff who are proficient, in current and emerging information technologies, that will cultivate a user community that understands and can employ modern technologies to maximize business impact
