My name is Jalen Webster. I currently work as an Associate Partner in the Human Resources department in Amazon at the RDU2 location in Smithfield, North Carolina. I am on track to graduating from Flatiron School with a certificate in Cyber Security Analytics. For the last few years my job placements have involved a heavy dose of computer work. Being immersed in the world of technology has increased my level of comfortability with pursuing an IT role. In October of 2023, I decided to take a leap of faith and enroll in the Cyber Security Course at Flatiron school.Technology is not disappearing anytime soon. I view it as a gift that we were given to make our daily lives easier. This course has given me insight in knowing that there are individuals that will abuse that power for a selfish gain. Learning that a life can be turned upside with the click of a link has made me cautious and sympathetic. No one deserves to go through the abuse that the cyber world entails. I will do everything in my power to educate others on how to defend their assets in their digital space.
