My name is Ja'Lisa Rascoe. I graduated in the top 20% of my high school class and went straight to Eastfield College. I graduated with my Associate's Degree in Science in 2021. After I graduated, I started working part time at Lane Bryant as a stylist. It was a great opportunity, and the team was amazing! I learned how to make sales, how to set up a store, and how to help clients find their style. It truly was a remarkable experience. Then I started working at Lowe’s at the beginning of 2022 as a paint associate and I also started going to the University of Texas at Dallas. At first, I was going to get a Bachelor’s in Animation but now I am pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Anyhow, after working at Lowe’s and at the same time going to school, I decided to try to find a different job. My last and most recent job was at Sherwin Williams. Working at Sherwin Williams was a learning experience. The people I worked with were very helpful, team-oriented, and strived to make their customers happy. I learned a lot about teamwork, how to be persistent, and how to work in a fast-paced environment. I eventually got two other jobs following Sherwin Williams. I worked as a team lead at petbar and now I'm currently a game ambassador/receptionist at Puttshack.Throughout these years I have met amazing individuals who have taught me many skills which I will use on this journey to advance my career in Accounting. Even though I am early in my career, I am willing to learn and always open to new opportunities. I intend to graduate in May of 2025 and my interests are Financial Analysis, Bookkeeping, Financial Advising and Payroll. I am a goal driven, well organized, and detailed oriented individual. I am always willing to learn and driven to succeed.
