In partnership with the Arkansas Humanities Council and Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service - Museum on Main Street, I serve as the State Coordinator. Responsibilities include eliciting request for proposals, assisting with the selection of six host site locations within Arkansas who will host Hometown Teams exhibition, conducting site visits, planning and implementing workshops for host sites with humanities scholars and consultants, budget development and management, developing a tour itinerary, working collaboratively with Museum on Main Street personnel in presenting program development and exhibit installation workshops for six host sites. Evaluations will be conducted and provided to the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, Museum on Main Street at the conclusion of the exhibition in 2018.

Assisted veterinarians in medical, diagnostic, and surgical procedures.

Led or coordinated planning team in facility planning, development, repairs, renovations and restorations. Provided input for environmental assessments, impact statements, feasibility studies, master plans, and resource management. Prepared charts, graphs and photo display layouts for use in news releases and public presentations. Developed long-range spending plans for assigned parks, and provided technical assistance in the area of park design.

Supervised the operation of a 182-acre park and interpretive visitor center. Supervised 5 full-time and 2 seasonal staff members. Assisted staff with educational programs and program development, provided law enforcement for the park, assisted in the preparation of park budgets and general bookkeeping, prepared resale and interpretive displays, and provided staff training and development.

Developed and provided a variety of programs related to archeology, wildlife, and Native Americans. Organized special events and provided public relations for the park. Provided tours of the archeological site. Assisted superintendent with park operations. Supervised seasonal interpretive staff. Developed brochures and press releases.

Developed and revised educational programming for exhibits, special events, educational loan materials and field trips to satisfy state curriculum requirements. Developed and organized all children’s activities for the Old State House Annual Holiday Open House. Served as Director of the docent program at the Old State House and as Acting Tour Director for all Old State House Museum Associates bus tours. Scheduled group tours, loans of slides and educational boxes for schools.
