Origin is a start-up that sources coffee from small farmer cooperatives in Uganda. We provide value addition by roasting the coffee locally for domestic consumption and increased market access both nationally and internationally. The aim of Origin is to supply high quality coffee whilst providing a fairer deal to the farmers. This is done by cutting out as many of the "middle-stages" as possible from when the farmers harvest the coffee bean until it appears on your counter. Through this, the profit to the farmer increases by approximately 20 cents per pound of coffee bought. As a result, more roasters in the Usa, Canada and Europe see the possibility of dealing directly with coffee producer organizations instead of going through exporters, to the benefit of the individual coffee farmer. Responsible for the continual analysis of the business working model; responsible for collecting, analyzing and evaluating data in order to foresee potential obstacles and adapt to the current business model.• Responsible for managing factory and production activities.• Prepare and deliver informational PowerPoint presentations to potential business clients about coffee.• Design the Uganda Crane Coffee website.• Develop and design brochures for Uganda Crane Coffee in China.• Maintain working relationships with clients.• Compose accrued daily client reports.• Ensure the overall quality control of products and factory hygiene requirements are maintained.• Maintain a database and records of all production data, equipment(i.e. green coffee, roasted coffee, packaging materials etc.)• Responsible for training the production team, sales team and clients in basic coffee technologies and roasting techniques.• Compile monthly production reports.• Monitor inventory, production costs, imports of coffee and other products from Uganda andensure that specifications/contracts for delivery are met.• Develop and formulate new blends for the market and update the sample library.• Sterilize and service roasting machine and other factory equipment.• Provide clients and management with technical advice/expertise and data on coffeerelated matters.• Served as in-lieu General Manager when required.

Responsible for overseeing the Shanghai expo coffee project• Managed and team led 10 employees• Provided information to 20,000 – 40,000 visiting clients on a daily basis• Responsible for creating and editing daily reports to the coordinator of the Project.• Predicted and solved obstacles that emerged during the Expo vis-à-vis logistics, quality, andclient feedback.• Served as a diplomatic liaison between the coffee company the Ugandan Embassy andPavilion office.
