My name is Jamal Carr, and I have a rich family heritage from Trinidad and Tobago, which continually reminds me of my cultural background and history. I identify as a Blerd—a blend of Black and Nerd—reflecting my deep engagement with anime, cartoons, animation, gaming, comics, and the arts. I am an enthusiastic convention attendee and have actively participated in various panels, striving to expand my platform and influence.My passion for community strives from the desire of inclusion. I cultivated and created the Blerd space on my HBCU to help students find a safe space for them to freely express themselves without worry of being ostracized or discriminated for their passions and hobbies. I also look to enrich HBCUs by being Japanese Culture and The Language to students outside the classroom. I am intermediate in the Japanese Language, I can Read, Write and hold proficient conversations. I am a skilled multitasker with a strong work ethic and am adept at teamwork, problem-solving, and organization. I am committed to taking on diverse tasks to support team objectives. As a reliable and dedicated team player, I approach my responsibilities with diligence and resourcefulness. My experience as a hardworking student, combined with part-time work experience, has honed my meticulous attention to detail, observational skills, and communication abilities.---
